We started the Voice in response to newsroom cuts made by the corporate owner of Lenawee County&#8217;s only daily newspaper. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">We believe that, even in the digital age, a local newspaper is an essential part of building and maintaining a strong community. Both of our publications have four core goals:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">Promoting civic engagement and volunteerism.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Increasing citizen involvement in government.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Strengthening local businesses and institutions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Helping people feel more connected to their community.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">The Advocate is published once a month in print, but updates to our website, <a href=\"https:\/\/morenciadvocate.com\">morenciadvocate.com<\/a>, are posted more often.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">The editor and publisher of The Lenawee Voice and The Morenci Advocate is Deborah J.
